A National-level event on Dissemination of TB NSP-PSP & RSSH Plans took place today, dated 23rd Jan. 2024 at Serena Islamabad. Health leaders from different provinces & regions gathered to discuss plans for eradicating TB during the next 3 years. The meeting highlighted the importance of strategic planning and its implementation in true letter & spirit, with political leadership & extended collaboration at different levels. Representatives from various provinces & regions, including top health officials from the public, private and donor partner organizations participated in this one day seminar. National Coordinator CMU Dr.Raxia Fatima from NTP, Mr. Mehmood Aslam, Secretary of Health for KP, Project Director Dr.Musa Khan, Project Manager Dr.Sabir Rehman, SPPO Dr.Abdul Raheem & Lab Coordinator Mr.Noor Muhammad participated from Provincial TB Control Program KhyberPakhtunkhwa. Members from USAID-JSI, The Global Fund Consultants, WHO, DOPASI, and other local & international organizations participated in the event & gave their valuable inputs. The Secretary Health addressed the audience, emphasizing the collective effort needed to combat TB effectively, enhanced TB Awareness among the communities, and strong political leadership, leading to convincing the communities to accept & be educated about TB, resulting in minimizing the cultural stigma against TB & accepting it as a curable disease. Last of all, after the general session, the presentation for Khyber Pakhtunkhwa was delivered by Dr.Abdul Raheem, SPPO PTP-KP. A detailed Q&A session was also held which were responded to the audience by the undersigned & Project Manager together.
